These appear to be correct dates for the summer school.

1. Film restoration online theory course: distance learning, May 9th to June 20th (each Wednesday)

2. Theory lectures and Il Cinema Ritrovato film festival: Bologna, June 23rd to June 30th

3. Restoration practice classes: Bologna, July 2nd to July 13th

Film Restoration Summer School

I'm not sure if anyone in the entire world can now afford to send anyone to the acclaimed film restoration summer school / FIAF summer school, but the key dates are:
On-line Distance Learning: 9 May – 20 June
Theory Classes: 23 – 30 June
On site training at the laboratory L’Immagine Ritrovata: 2 – 13 July

The summer school is linked to the Il Cinema Ritrovato, so presumably the festival will run from 23 - 30 June. However, I can't find any mention of 2011 dates on their website, so I may be wrong.

Film database interoperability

The film database interoperability website (filmstandards.org) has all the latest on the standards EN15744 and EN15907.

Today was the National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales's Open Day. I think the last event of the 10th anniversary birthday bash.
